The closing ceremonies tonight brought up my favourite “I Told You So” fact. The song sung by the crew of the Red October in The Hunt For Red October is not the State Anthem of the Russian Federation but is in fact called “Hymn to Red October” and was composed specifically for the film.
They are both Russian hymns, so they may sound quite similar, but are in fact completely different songs. Now you know.
